How to use the collage maker
- Click Add images or drag and drop your photos onto the canvas.
- Choose between Mosaic (organic, varied cell sizes) or Grid (uniform rows and columns).
- Pick a canvas size square for Instagram posts, 16:9 for wallpapers, 4:5 for Instagram portrait, and more.
- Use Shuffle layout to randomise the arrangement until you like it.
- Adjust the border size and colour to taste.
- Click Export PNG to download your finished collage.

About this tool
Built by charlie.onl as a free, open alternative to paid collage software. The layout engine and
interface were developed with assistance from AI (Claude by Anthropic), used to accelerate the
implementation of the BSP algorithm and canvas rendering logic. The concept, design decisions,
and product direction are my own.
